Job Description:
The Patrol Specialist is responsible for providing a visible and professional security presence while patrolling assigned areas in a company vehicle. The specialist ensures the safety of client properties, deters criminal activity, and responds to incidents as needed. This role requires excellent observation, communication skills, and a strong commitment to safety and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine patrols of client properties in a designated vehicle to maintain a secure environment.
- Monitor and inspect buildings, facilities, and perimeter areas for any suspicious activity or security concerns.Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, providing a professional and calming presence.
- Investigate disturbances, unauthorized persons, or suspicious activities, and report findings to appropriate authorities or supervisors.
- Maintain accurate and detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and security concerns.
- Provide access control services, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the premises.
- Engage in community policing, building rapport with clients, staff, and visitors.
- Enforce company policies, site regulations, and safety standards.Communicate effectively via two-way radios, mobile devices, and written reports.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Ensure patrol vehicle is maintained and operational at all times, reporting any vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to company protocols and procedures, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications in security are a plus).
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military services is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and communication.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to patrol on foot and operate a patrol vehicle for extended periods.
Work Environment:
The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions.Mobile patrols require the ability to drive for long periods and respond to emergencies as needed.Shift work may include nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the client’s requirements.
